We have been dealing with the EF in Almaty now for more than two months with respect to getting our daughter to the EF School in Cambridge and then Singapore. We approached EF as we thought they were a professional organization and our daughter could benefit greatly from spending six months of intensive English lesson in EF's school located in Cambridge. So we advised EF to proceed with a UK visa application so she could attend the EF school in Cambridge. We paid the deposit that was requested and provided all the documentation that the EF, Almaty office requested from us for the UK visa application. The visa application was done on line and an appointment made for our daughter in Atyrau. We paid the visa application fee and arranged flights for our daughter from Northern Kazakhstan to Southern Kazakhstan at a substantial cost. Our daughter attended the UK visa office interview and handed over to them all the documents that EF, Almaty had advised were necessary. Nearly three weeks later the EF, Almaty office received a rejection letter from the UK Visa department stating that: not enough evidence was presented to confirm that our daughter would actually attend the EF school while in the UK!! We found this to be very disappointing in the least as the EF Almaty office should know exactly what documents should have been presented to the UK visa department to achieve a visa approval. This was gross incompetence on EF’s part, which cost us a lot of money and wasted nearly a month of our time, and of course a lot of anxiety and disappointment for her mother and Daughter. While we were in the EF Almaty office discussing this poor result, EF personal advised us to try the EF Singapore School as the visa could be done on-line, hence no personal interview and cheaper application cost. We went along with this recommendation from EF and provided all the necessary paperwork to submit as instructed again by EF, Almaty personal. The visa application was again done by EF, Almaty and we paid the visa fee. Within two weeks the Singapore Visa dept. requested further documents which should have been included in the initial visa application. Again EF, Almaty did not present all the necessary documents and wasted more time. We had also purchased flight tickets from Kazakhstan to Singapore on dates advised by EF, Almaty. Because of this delay in processing the visa application as the correct documents were not uploaded at the time of the application we had to change the flight dates which cost considerable amount of money. Then after 30 days EF received a rejection letter, no reason given. I now have a return flight for our daughter to Singapore from Kazakhstan which I have to now cancel and loose considerable amount of money. This process of getting student visas is not difficult, and we should have had a visa already, but EF, Almaty have managed twice to mess up what should be a very easy task that they are trained and have supposedly done many times before. We have found the whole process very disappointing and has caused us great anxiety. The feeling we have of EF, Almaty is very unprofessional and simply incompetent, their staff are not very well trained and at times quite rude. We have requested our deposit paid back in full, now EF, Almaty want to deduct all their fees from this deposit, when they have caused this failure to get a visa in the first place. Also as we have not signed the contract, I do not see any justification form EF, Almaty why they should retain any of my deposit. Very Disappointed outcome from EF, Almaty
Alma,
Marzhan,
Отправили дочу 16 лет в дублин! На уроках спят, учителя говорят сто хотите делайте! За что мы платим спрашивается?
